There have been quite a lot of updates of this blog for the last week or so. That is because I have been moving around a bit and because I wanted to get up to date before I get to my next destination.
Hopefully a nice place to be
The day before yesterday I took a bus from Kochi to Trivandrum and have spent two days here before going to a yoga ashram. The Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Centre is an organization that has a few ashrams in different locations. One of them is called Dhanwantari Ashram and is located close to the Neyyar Dam lake about thirty kilometers east of Trivandrum in the very south of India. This is also the reason why I have been going through Kerala a bit quick, I wanted to join their “yoga vacation” program that starts on the 1st of February.
More yoga to the people
The yoga vacation includes food and accommodation but also a daily program with meditation, asana classes (yoga postures) and lectures about different topics. It is a progressive program that runs for two weeks and I am really looking forward to this as I want to learn more about yoga. A few years ago I only thought of yoga as the postures/physical exercise people (and me) do at the gym but I am starting to realize that there is so much more to it; meditation, breathing, relaxation, philosophy, spirituality, diet and possibly even more.
So if you think that there have been many new posts lately I will be quiet for a bit now. I am publishing this standing outside the ashram and will not write more posts until I come out of the yoga bubble again (in two weeks or so). So long and namaste!
