My stay on the small Indonesian island Gili Meno ended up to be a bit longer than expected. I extended my accommodation twice and ended up staying for eight days. I guess that is the advantage of not being stick to a detailed plan or schedule, you can just decide what to do as you go along. Gili Meno is quite a small island and some say there is not so much to do. But maybe you do not have to do so much all the time in order to enjoy life.
A perfect day
06:00 Wake up under the mosquito net and hear the birds singing in the trees.
06:15 Watch the start of the sunrise in the horizon while putting on the running shoes.
06:20 Run around the island in a comfortable pace. Run with a smile and enjoy the scenery.
07:00 Stretch in the shade of a palm tree.
07:30 Go for a swim in the turquoise ocean, look at the fish and sea turtles.
08:00 Eat breakfast slowly.
09:00 Read a book in the hammock.
10:00 Fall asleep in the hammock.
11:00 Do yoga with a friend.
12:00 Go for lunch, have banana juice and nasi goreng at a cheap local restaurant.
13:00 Spend time at the beach.
15:00 Join the local community and help to clean up some trash at the beaches.
17:00 Have a slow afternoon walk around the island.
18:30 Sit down for an evening snack and enjoy the sun setting in the ocean.
19:30 Spend some social time with new friends.
21:00 Go to sleep and be grateful for a beautiful day.
Next day; wake up and repeat. Swap the book for a different one when you have finished it.
